Over the past fifteen years, Alison Tyler has written more than twenty explicit novels, including Learning to Love It, Strictly Confidential, Sweet Thing, Sticky Fingers, and Something About Workmen (all published by Black Lace); as well as Rumors, Tiffany Twisted, and With or Without You (Cheek); and Blue Valentine and The ESP Affair (Magic Carpet Books). Her novels and short stories have been translated into Japanese, Dutch, German, Italian, Norwegian, and Spanish.
Her stories have appeared in anthologies including Sex Toy Tales (Down There Press), Noirotica 3 (Black Books), Best S/M Erotica (Black Books), Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica (Carrol & Graf), and Up All Night (Alyson); and in Sweet Life I & II, Taboo, Best Best Fetish Erotica, Lips Like Sugar, and Best Lesbian Erotica 1996 (all published by Cleis); and in Wicked Words 4, 5, 6, 8 & 10, Sex in the Office, Sex on Holiday, Best of Black Lace 2, and Sex in Uniform (all published by Black Lace); as well as in Playgirl Magazine and Penthouse Variations. She is the editor of Batteries Not Included (Diva); Heat Wave, Best Bondage Erotica volumes 1 & 2, The Merry XXXMas Book of Erotica, Luscious, Red Hot Erotica, Slave to Love, Three-Way, and the Happy Birthday Book of Erotica, and the co-editor of Caught Looking (all from Cleis Press); Naughty Fairy Tales from A to Z (Plume); and the Naughty Stories from A to Z series, the Down & Dirty series, Naked Erotica, and Juicy Erotica (all from Pretty Things Press).
Ms. Tyler is loyal to coffee (black), lipstick (red), and tequila (straight). She has tattoos, but no piercings; a wicked tongue, but a quick smile; and bittersweet memories, but no regrets. She believes it won't rain if she doesn't bring an umbrella, prefers hot and dry to cold and wet, and loves to spout her favorite motto: You can sleep when you're dead. She chooses Led Zeppelin over the Beatles, the Cure over NIN, and the Stones over everyone. Yet although she appreciates good rock, she has a pitiful weakness for 80s hair bands. In all things important, she remains faithful to her partner of ten years, but she still can't choose just one perfume. |
